Emergencies
Our physicians are available 24 hours a day in case of emergencies.
In case of an emergency, we recommend that you present to the nearest emergency department or call emergency services (911) for transportation. The nearest emergency department may not be the one which is closest to us. However, you may require treatment and stabilization before transfer to another facility, if transfer is felt to be necessary.
Conditions that require emergency evaluation include, but are not limited to, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, passing out, severe weakness, etc.
Before your office visit or appointment
Your primary care doctor or emergency physician will call our office to set up your initial appointment. At that time we will request medical records to be sent. If you have any of your medical records, or if they need to be obtained from outside sources, please do so and bring them with you. It would be helpful if you bring any previous EKG's, lab tests, hospital records, office notes, cardiac catheterization reports, operative reports (especially prior cardiac surgery), etc. We would like for you to bring all your prescribed medications with you each office visit. Be prepared to stay approximately two hours for your initial office visit.
